WhatsApp will be launching some new features for both Android and iOS users including Group invitation, WhatsApp dark mode, fingerprint lock and more. Here we take a look at all the upcoming WhatsApp features.
WhatsApp group invitation
According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp Group Invitation feature is in the works while it could be made available in the upcoming updates along with some other improvements. Once the feature is rolled out, other WhatsApp users will have to take your permission in order to add you in a WhatsApp group. While even group admins won’t be able to add someone without their permission, the WhatsApp feature is expected to roll out to iOS beta soon.
WhatsApp Dark Mode
This is one of the most anticipated
WhatsApp features and while the
WhatsApp Dark Mode has been spotted
in beta versions, it is expected to
launch with a stable update soon. The
dark mode feature essentially changes
the app background to black colour
from white for less strain on eyes and
to save battery life.
Fingerprint Lock for Chat
The new WhatsApp authentication features which are used Face id or Touch id for unlocking the WhatsApp has made available for Android and Ios users.
Audio message redesign:
WhatsApp is soon expected to roll out an improved Audio picker in a stable version where users will be able to preview the audio files before sending them. There will be a new tray to open the audio files in which the image preview of the audio file will also be available, if available. Also, WhatsApp users will be able to send a maximum of 30 audio files at the same time.
Consecutive voice messages
This WhatsApp feature has been spotted in beta version and it essentially helps users to listen to consecutive voice messages without the need to press the ‘Play’ on every voice message. It should be noted that this WhatsApp feature works only if you have received consecutive voice messages.
